I have been debating with myself for two days as to the correctness of posting this:

rites of passage / deconstruction / war love / innocence / manipulation

I shall disgourge half thoughts and static value inductions
I wonder why this photograph has
been the object of discussion. Is it the vicarious agony of being burned or married that excites people?
People with figure altering injuries are everywhere and go about their lives.Sure I was a little shocked when I first saw somebody smoke a cigarette through a hole in their neck or when I saw a local man at the store who had survived a self inflicted gunshot wound from a .22 caliber pistol he discharged in his mouth. These are just two in my memory that I've chosen to illustrate the paradox
I see in the way people express
outrage , fear, and other emanations to something I take the liberty to think is a common sight in a world where fire, earth gravity, flesh, sudden chemical reactions , large fast moving dense objects and formal coupledom are part of the agreed upon reality.
So I'm lead to the belief that the picture is a symbol of I something I can't define.

The whole rude part about this picture is that it was allowed to go public. Did Bush have anything to do with this publication?
