Six more Syrian months
Goroka is a long way from Syria. But even a village leader with three wives, twelve children and two dozen pigs, keeps on top of the news. This painting by Simon Gende is over six months old, but as usual nothing ever changes.
As Simon notes "Most of my paintings are about big new stories in the world because most of people like to buy them because they want to keep the stories of what they heard over the news. It’s something like keeping history on the painting.
Hope you get me clear.”
