Human existence is a journey of faith and, as such, goes forward more in darkness than in full light, with moments of obscurity and even profound darkness.
Benedict XVI, March 2006.

I have held these words close over the past three months. However, I do not feel that I am in darkness, more so that I am called to the light to understand the way forward.

Darkness is no enemy, seeking the light in the darkness is what matters.

Howdy stranger :) I've been so busy i haven't had time to reply to emails :(

While working last night I came across an interesting article about kneeling in church.

A Ban on Kneeling? Some Catholics Won't Stand for It
LATimes

I was totally amazed because I had not heard of this. Granted my back likes the idea but when it feels good I kneel. I can't imagine turning away parishners for kneeling!

"when it feels good I kneel"
exactly!

I cannot understand why anyone, let alone a priest, would ban people from kneeling. If people want to kneel all the way through the liturgy, so be it!

If people need to sit down through the liturgy that's OK too, an individuals needs must take precedent over the perceived congregations unity. Jesus met people where they were at, not where he wanted them to be.

Kneel, sit or stand, it's only a body. A humble, contrite spirit is what is most important.

G_72 shakes his head sadly at any priest who has lost sight of acceptance of each individual in place of demanding a strict rubrical observance.

I had to look in the dictionary
to find out what rubrical means, but I'm not red faced about it.
